Georgia Adopt-A-Highway Program
Three Sides to Every Story, Inc. is delighted to announce our involvement in the Adopt-A-Highway program in the state of Georgia. As we look to join up with other states for their Adopt-A-Highway program, we would like to invite you to help the cause and spread the word.
Three Sides to Every Story, Inc. is Keeping Georgia Beautiful by picking up trash a road and highway at a time. Georgia Adopt-a-Highway Program is a very worth while program and we have decided to do our part in keeping Georgia beautiful. We are recruiting volunteers to help us with the clean up.
We have adopted a mile of road on the following highways.
Highway 100 in Meriwether County, Georgia
Greenville Highway at the Troup/Meriwether county lines, Georgia.
We meet 4 times a year to pick up the trash on each highway. We would love to have you join us. If you have a mile of road that you would like for us to sponsor, let us know by filling out the form below. Keep in mind we will need for you to help us on pick up days for the roads you ask us to sponsor, or you may send one or more persons from your group.
Adopting a mile of roadway helps keep our highways clean.
This program:
• saves taxpayer dollars
• provides recognition for our organization
• raises public awareness of the costs of littering
• improves the environment
• promotes civic responsibility and pride
• provides assistance to the cleaning of city and county roadways
Adopt-a-Highway sponsors help their community reduce litter removal costs, and keep roads looking clean…giving us pride. The state of Georgia spends $11,000,000 annually to remove roadside trash along state highways and interstates. We can help reduce those costs to our taxpayers and have a great time doing it...as well as bring awareness to the plight of or families and children of divorce.
Any civic-minded group, business, industry or individual is welcome to participate in our venture to Adopt-a-Highways throughout the state of Georgia.
Each volunteer agrees to:
• help pick up trash on at least a one-mile stretch of county/city roadway
• remove litter from that roadway at least four times a year
• alert us if you are unable to help on your mile of highway, make effort to find replacement
Each volunteer will receive:
• a packet of information on our involvement in the Adopt-a-Highway program
• information on Three Sides to Every Story, Inc. organization
• safety instructions |
