Children are the future.

  • Children are born without instructions
  • That means we must guide them
  • Children will become what you teach them
  • Do you want them to be happy
  • Teach them respect
  • Teach them right and even if they faulter
    from it, they will return
  • If you have not taught them right, when
they faulter, they have nothing to return to
  • Never allow your child a single minute of
    feeling unloved
  • Never allow your child a minute without
    your love
  • Always give them 100% of yourself
  • They will always come back to what
    you taught them

RESPECT

Respect is the core of our being. As a child were you taught to show respect? Were you told what it meant to show respect?

  • Get up and let an adult have your seat
  • Hold the door for a lady
  • Help an elderly person cross the street
  • Say yes Sir/Ma'am and no Sir/Ma'am
  • Say please and thank you
  • Do as I say do, not as I do
  • Don't argue with me
  • Wipe your feet before entering the house
  • Ask to be excused before leaving the table
  • Say thank you when you finish eating
  • Do not talk back
  • Don't get in trouble at school, double trouble when you got home
  • Sleeping on a several blankets on the floor when company came
  • Never get in the middle of a grownup conversation
  • Take your hat off in the house

This list could go on and on, and I am sure you could add some memories of your own. The question now is, are you raising your kids with these same rules of respect?

Do you remember hearing the words "Mind Your Manors"? Would your children know what that means today?

Do you guide your children or do they control you? Do you live with your children, or do you live for them?

Your children depend on you, don't let them down. Don't just give them your all, give them your best.

We would like to hear your feelings on respect. Just like any other form of attitude, respect has taken on many variations. While we believe that respect is always the act of doing right, we respect the fact that others have different opinions. We would like to hear what you think. Send us an e-mail at volunteer@three-sides-to-every-story.org. Someone from 3 Sides will contact you soon.

Never faulter from right, it will always guide you through.

Always remember that if everyone does right, then right is always how people will treat you.

RESPECT

As a respected sixty year old woman, I have earned that respect by doing right. When I have faultered from it, I have always been drawn back to right.

Love and Respect go hand and hand.

Nothing is more heart felt then
the love and respect from a child.

Do you feel that you get to old to learn? Do you feel you might get to old to teach? OR, Do you think the older you get the more you have learned and therefore the more you can teach?

If you respect the age of a person and realize that person has gained knowledge by living older and older, then you also realize the older you get the more you learn and the more you can teach.

Don't allow your life long learning acheivements to be lost when you leave this earth. Help leave behind what you have learned by teaching others to carry on with your legacy of respect.

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT GIVES WHAT YOU GET...TRY GIVING WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE.

BROKEN FAMILIES ACROSS THIS LAND ARE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP.

CHILDREN SHOULD BE OUR FIRST PRIORITY - FAMILY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT GIFT YOU WILL EVER RECEIVE.
