Sisters - Family Traits

FAMILY TRAITS

Isn't it amazing sometimes to see the traits in family members that you only see once a year at family reunions. Have you been lucky enough to meet an old aunt or uncle that has a trait such as you yourself has and you could never figure out where it came from. You wondered all your life where you got the hazel eyes or the red hair or maybe the one smaller ear that no one in your immediate family has...then one day you meet Aunt Mary or Uncle George and you finally know where it came from. That is called "Family Traits".

Sometimes the traits in a family can be so strong, the whole family will have a trait that will make you know what family they come from when you see them. Very strong genes are able to cause just such a trait to travel through a family from generation to generation.

When two brothers have a daughter each and those girls look like sisters, they have a family trait. When one brother has a son and he looks like his dads brother, that is a family trait. When you find an old family Bible and there is a picture of a great great grandmother and you feel you finally know who you look like, that is a family trait.

If two sisters didn't know the other exsisted and when they meet they look somewhat alike. Their voice is so much alike, one mother can't tell the sisters apart on the phone...that is a family trait.

Who do you look like? Family traits come down from both sides of the family. If you are not in touch with both sides of your family, you may not know the traits on both sides of your family.

As sad as it might seem, there are siblings and cousins who have never seen each other. They have as much if not more family traits then the girls in our picture above.

We also know of sisters that have the same mother, but different daddys, and look very much alike...family traits on the mother's side is the only way to explain this.

Families deserve to be together and know each other. It is right.

These two girls are cousins.
Family Traits are very strong.

Do you have stories and pictures of family traits? We would love to hear from you. You can reach us at volunteer@three-sides-to-every-story.org. Someone from 3 Sides will contact you soon.

We are fascinated with the traits of family after family. It is amazing to see and hear all the stories of family traits that people found later in life.

It is also overwhelming to us that custodial parents will say bad things to a child because the child looks or acts like the non-custodial parent or grandparents. Family triats were not the decision of anyone, certainly not the child.

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT GIVES WHAT YOU GET...TRY GIVING WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE.

BROKEN FAMILIES ACROSS THIS LAND ARE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP.

CHILDREN SHOULD BE OUR FIRST PRIORITY - FAMILY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT GIFT YOU WILL EVER RECEIVE.
