I think when you become a mother, you have a button that flips on which gives you eyes in the back of your head and a sixth sence of knowing when your child needs you. I know that my connection to my children is real and is always there.
Now in order to be a grandmother you first have to be a mother, which is a very hard but most rewarding job. Then, the day comes when you have that first grandbaby. Oh my, what a feeling. Nothing has ever compared to it, and nothing ever will. Your child, whom has been the most important part of your life, now has a child and you get to be Grandma. I cried, and was so overwhelmed, I can still feel it if I allow myself the privilege of remembering the day my first one was born, and each one since.
When one or more of those grandchildren are taken from you for what ever reason, there is a hole in your heart that NEVER heals. If you lose this child to death, you never forget them, but you have to get on with your life. BUT, if you lose them due to the actions of another human being, and those precious children are taken from your family, you cannot move on with your life.
When you are so deeply connected to those precious children and you know they were once connected to you, it is there when you go to bed and it is there when you open your eyes in the morning. Grandma always knows best. Grandma will always do what is best for her babies, and grandma, will never give up.
Grandma is tuned in to not only her own children, but those of her children as well.
Grandma should never be counted out, Grandma will never give up, and Grandma will always be there, Always! You can go to Grandma, when you can go no where else. If you are a Grandma and you have babies missing from your life, stand up and be counted, and someone will notice. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! |
