Safe Havens are not the best way to start a life, but they are much better then the alternative.

We will be sharing stories with you as they come to us about mothers that can't find a way to keep their babiesand found no other way then to take them to a safe haven.

We will also include stories of mothers that didn't go to a safe haven and decided to leave their babies in unsafe places.

We would like to encourage everyone to do your very best to work the situation out in the best interest of all concerned...but when you feel it is impossible to care for your child and you seem to have no other choice...Safe Havens are the better choice over abandoment.

This may be the way you were raised and therefore it might feel like the right thing to do with your family, but chances are, you need to find productive activities for you and your children...if the things you do seem to be destroying your family.

I am the founder of this organization and I want to take the time to tell you how I feel about babies in general.

They are a wonderful gift that does not ask to be born. They will bring you joy and at the same time they can cause you more stress then you could ever imagine...but they are ALL well worth it.

NOW, after saying that...I would like to go on record saying...IF YOU FIND YOURSELF WITH THE TASK OF GIVING BIRTH TO A CHILD YOU DO NOT INTEND TO KEEP AND YOU HAVE NO WHERE TO TURN AND NO PLACE TO LEAVE YOUR BABY TO MAKE SURE HE/SHE IS SAFE...PLEASE TAKE YOUR BABY TO A SAFE HAVEN...AND WALK AWAY WITHOUT FEAR OF CRIMINAL CHARGES.

WE TRUELY UNDERSTAND IF YOU CANNOT KEEP YOUR BABY, WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH TO GIVE YOUR LITTLE ONE A CHANCE...
