Today is your birthday you are 8 years old. After trying so hard to figure out how to get your birthday wish to you, I decided to write this letter. I will leave it with your daddy and I know one day you will finally get to read it. All I want in this world is for you to know the truth, and the truth is, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!
Happy Birthday my sweet, sweet girl. I wanted so very much to see you for your birthday, but again this year it just could not be done. Your Daddy and I miss you very much, and we pray that somehow you will feel that love and remember the bond we had.
I have watched Levi grow and learn and become a great little boy. He still looks very much the same as he did when you and he would play together. We are aware that you have changed a lot. You don’t look anything like you did when you were with us. You do however look a lot like Denise, your Uncle Carl’s youngest daughter and your first cousin. When the two of you used to play together, you didn’t even favor each other, but now, you could pass for sisters. I pray that one day you will once again become close and be there for each other.
You have had so many birthdays come and go since we saw you last. You and I both have missed so much, and your Daddy grieves for you. He wishes you a very happy 8th. birthday, and so do I. The rest of your family says hello and they too wish you a very happy birthday.
I have so much I would love to say to you, but since you have no idea who I am anymore, it would be very hard for you to understand most of it, so I am going to hold it until I see you again, and then I will fill your little ears with all kinds of good stories and love from your MeMa.
I sure do hope that by the time you turn 9 that we will have this mess fixed and you are once again with us.
