STATE BAR

The American Bar Association, the largest voluntary professional association in the world. With more than 400,000 members, the ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.

The Mission of the American Bar Association is to be the national representative of the legal profession, serving the public and the profession by promoting justice, professional excellence and respect for the law.

In this section you will find links to all State Bar Associations as well as the American Bar Association.

All practicing attorneys and judges must be a member of their State Bar. A judge must be a member of the bar in good standing for a period of time before they can be on the bench. Check your state for time frame.

If you have a problem with the ethics of an attorney or judge, you can file a complaint with the state bar of the proper state.

Your attorney works for you, not you for him/her.

We can not give you legal advise, nor tell you how to handle any part of your case. We can't tell you to go it alone or hire an attorney, thus the reason for so much information on this site...to give you what you need to make your own decisions.

The American Bar Association DC Office.

The best advise we can give you and it is not legal advise, "Do your best to NEVER get involved in a legal case."

Your life can be turned upside down when you are pulled into a legal case. It can drain you of all the money you have, and all you will ever have.

If you see yourself headed into legal battle, decide if you will hire an attorney or not, but for your own sake, study the law pertaining to your problem.

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT GIVES WHAT YOU GET...TRY GIVING WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE.
