"THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK"
"FAMILY PRESERVATION"
WASHINGTON DC - JULY 23-25 2010
"THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK"… will be heading to DC in July to join old and new friends at the... 2010 Family Preservation & TK Music Fest. http://www.officialdcrallyfest.com.
We would like to invite you to join us for this the fourth gathering of family preservation groups from across our great land.
"THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK"... will be covered with listings of organizations and personal messages. Bringing attention for the need of FAMILY PRESERVATION.
If you would like to list your organization or place a personal message on the truck... instrustions are listed below.
I would like to take just a little time to explain why "THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK" and how it came about. I don't want anyone to think that we are
profiting from this venture as we are simply asking for reimbursement for the cost of the vinyl to place a message on the truck.
I was driving on the parkway in our home town when I saw this big yellow truck. I told my husband, I want that truck. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "For What".
Since we are in the
recycling
business I could explain it very easily, but once we had the truck, I began to realize that this truck could be
an even bigger advantage as a traveling billboard bringing even more awareness to our cause. I Dedicate this Trip in Memory to My Friend Minister Ron Smith
MeMa and "THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK"
will be headed
to
DC in July.
PePa will be driving "THE BIG YELLOW TRUCK"
I want everyone to know how my husband has helped me get this truck and what he is doing to ready it for the trip to DC in July. Without him, there would be no "BIG YELLOW TRUCK" and no trip to DC for me.
My husband has taken on the task of having our truck sanded and primed to ready it for painting. The box portion of the truck will then be painted to match the cab...thus making it as close to perfect as possible for all the lettering.
When all that is finished, I will be applying ALL these listings for the world to see.
We use this truck in the THREE SIDES THRIFT STORE business. Our truck will be driven all over the southeast and to DC in July. Your listings will be seen far and wide for at least a year.

May She and Her Loving Husband Rest in Peace
Meeting in DC this year was to say the least a very exciting few days for my husband and myself. We met up with old friends and were able to make new ones before leaving. I charish the friends I have made through the heartache we all feel. If we all snap together as one, we can surely make a difference.
I believe that all things happen for a reason, and I also believe that it is up to us what we do about them. If we continue to work towards Family Preservation, we will make a difference, but if we set back and just let happen what will, that is exactly what we will get, what ever happens.
The slideshow to the left is a small portion of the pictures that were taken while we were in DC this year. I hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed being there and participating in this year's events. It was truly an event to remember.
While we all believe in the preservation of family...we also realize we have a very long road in front of us to make this happen, but wait...
Maybe it won't take as long as I think, if we all pull together and come together as one to show solidarity.
